    Visit yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml in your browser. You should see an XML file listing all your published pages. If you get a 404: ensure your site is published (not just staged), your custom domain is connected, and SSL is active in Project Settings > Hosting.

    Submit to Google Search Console

    In GSC: click "Sitemaps" in the left sidebar. Enter "sitemap.xml" in the URL field and click Submit. Critical: use your HTTPS custom domain URL, not the webflow.io staging URL. Check back in 24 hours — the Status column should show "Success" with a page count.

    Check for pages excluded from the sitemap

    Webflow excludes certain pages from the sitemap: pages with "Exclude from sitemap" toggled on (in page settings), password-protected pages, and draft/archived CMS items. If a page is missing: Pages panel > gear icon > check that "Exclude from Sitemap" is NOT toggled on.

    Manually exclude pages you don't want indexed

    For utility pages (thank-you pages, form confirmations, internal test pages): Pages panel > gear icon > toggle ON "Exclude from Sitemap". Also add noindex in the page's custom code head if you want to be thorough. Don't exclude important pages by accident — review the toggle on every page.
